Longer description

Massaman Curry Chicken is a Thai curry variation that is rich in flavor and history. Although Thailand is the original home of this dish, it is also sold around the world and is one of the most popular dishes in modern cuisine. An international food sensation, this dish was rated #1 in a CNN article highlighting the world’s top 50 delicious foods. This is due to its artistic and tasty blend of spices and herbs.

The unique flavor in Massaman Curry Chicken comes from the Massaman curry paste. This paste usually includes roasted peanuts and cashews, coconut milk, cinnamon, bay leaves, potatoes, and a variety of other oils and sauces. Spices such as cloves, turmeric, and nutmeg may also be common in the Massaman paste.

Chicken (or the preferred protein) is usually fried, grilled or baked, and then served with the paste to create a delicious Massaman Curry dish.
This dish is normally served with rice and pickled ginger. One custom common to Thai versions of Massaman Curry Chicken is serving the dish with achat, a combination of chili peppers and cucumber bathed in sugary vinegar.
